- Weekly HF/VHF Nets
The State EOC Communications Unit utilizes existing nets for its members.
Sunday at 0800 (L) HF LSB ARES Statewide net on 3.928 MHz
Sunday at 0830 (L) VHF FM ARES Statewide net on 145.310 MHz (+600KHz, 123 Hz PL)
Sunday at 0100 (Z) HF LSB RACES Statewide net on 3.9905 MHz
Wednesday at 1930 (L) VHF FM RACES Statewide net on 147.225 MHz (+600KHz, 107.2 Hz PL)
An informal "after-net" training segment and informal "chat time" provides an opportunity to discuss specific topics.
- Periodic Training Workshops
Half-day training sessions are periodically held on Saturday mornings.
- Annual SET Exercises
The ARRL "Simulated Emergency Test" (SET) is a nationwide exercise for emergency communications. The SET weekend provides an opportunity for amateurs to gain experience in emergency communications using standard procedures and a variety of operating modes under simulated emergency conditions.
- Hamfest Calendar
Various Hamfests are organized each year and they provide a great opportunity to meet fellow HAM's and find that part you have been looking for. VE's usually provide exams on-site for those who want to upgrade their 'ticket' or want to enter this wonderful hobby. Click on the button below to see what's going on in our state.
